My Albums Are Just like London Buses; Nothing for a While and Then Here Comes Three!!

After a significant period of inactivity in the studio, one album in 18 years, with a frenzy of activity three are emerging next weekend. Here are the albums in question...

Three fabulous but emotionally draining projects that I recorded back to back over consecutive days! But, the results have been a joy to listen back to. Let's elaborate a little...

'A Few Of My Favourite Things' is a collection of tunes that I love to play myself when no-one is around. The album features tracks from Musicals such as 'Oliver' and 'Mary Poppins,' songs from artists such as Michael Jackson, Adele, Elton John, Fred Astaire and John Denver. Pieces like 'Fur Elise' and Folks songs such as 'The Skye Boat Song,' 'Slane,' and 'Londonderry Air.' and much much more. Dedicated to the numerous people I meet on my travels who 'yearn for proper music' that can just relax to. I am very proud of this as a piece of work for it's effective simplicity in the choice of titles.

'Cool Cats Swing' is a presentation of tunes that my entertaining trio perform regularly. The list includes predictable titles such as 'Fly Me To The Moon,' and 'A Foggy Day' alongside less well known swinging standards such as 'Steppin' Out' and 'Quiet Nights And Quiet Stars.' There's a lot of excitement too with two jump jive Louis Jordan classics 'Choo Choo Ch'Boogie' and 'Caldonia' rubbing shoulders with definitive Lincoln Noel specials like 'The Bare Necessities' and the trio's theme tune 'Soul Bossanova' from 'Austin Powers.' The album is performed with the same spirit as our Live performances and is energetic, exciting and entertaining. You will be left in no doubt about our DNA in this album.

'Come On! Let's Do Christmas' is a Solo Piano album that gently delivers the listener into Christmas. There are numerous tunes, overwhelmingly traditional that are simply presented without totally neglecting the contemporary palette, with some modern Christmas classics too. I hope that the annual joy and reflective nature of this short period is enhanced by this collection of pieces played simply on the Piano.

So there you have it, after an extremely busy 2018 thus far of concerts, weddings, parties, launches and all the things that happen in the Maestro's schedule. I truly hope that you enjoy some if not all of the nusic that has been inspired by the great people I am privileged to play for in my unique role as a Piano performer.
